Just down the street from the house where I grew up is this old store, "Hodge's Store" the original general store for the town. It was closed, basically used as storage for a long time, before being taken over by the local Historical Society, and it's now part of the Missisquoi County Museum, restored to represent an old-time store as it might have been in its heyday. I spent many an afternoon of my youth, fishing off the back of that porch.
