For those of you who've had the stomach to come this far, this is the response that I sent to the previous e-mail. I tried to remain coherent and sensible while I wrote it, despite my desire to rip the individual in question a new one. I eschewed pointing out his lack of literacy, and pitiful grammar. All in all, I think I did a pretty good job, considering my desire to beat the whole lot of them into their next incarnation with the Platinum Baseball-bat of Clue and Truth. Oh...and it's interesting to note that, because I quoted a lot in the response, you get to see his bad formatting as well as his bad grammar;

Okay, let me start a little list with "what's wrong"...

First, he's coloured a great deal of *my* artwork without permission. It's pretty bad, but that's neither here nor there.
Second, the fact is that my work was modified and posted without my permission, that other artists have had their work modified and posted without their permission, and in this case the artist not only didn't get credit for his work, but someone else claimed it. That's *stealing*, copyright infringement under the International Bourne Act on Copyrights. It's against the law. It's unfair to the artists in question. It's thoughtless. It's careless. It's selfish.

Hmmm...let me see. Because some thoughtless unskilled bunch of individuals are using my and my friend's work to further their own interests, without my or their permission, without the least bit of thought to the artists. Because thier work is shoddy and careless. How can I be pissed when I don't colour most of my work? Because it's *my* work to do with as I please. Because I personally don't think my colour work is that good, and thus don't wish to inflict my poorer attempts on the world.

>Did you do that so when someone will colorize your artwork,
>you will critisize him?

As a matter of fact, I do talk to people when they ask to modify or colour my work, *if* they actually ask me. I work with many other artists all the time on various projects, co-operating so that both parties are satisfied with the work. If I don't like it, I tell them, ask them to make changes, and they do the same for me, like any other professional does.

Well that's fine and good then. Since "you" categorically don't like my artwork, without any kind of constructive criticism, your opinion is of no value at all to me. To be honest this sounds more like whiny spite than a useful or valuable judgement.

If you had put even the tiniest amount of thought into it, you might have figured out that if you have *absolutely* no way to accredit an image properly, then you shouldn't be posting it at all. You know full well that these images aren't the property of you or the people you got them from, so what you're saying is quite literally; "I know the art stolen, but since I can't read the name or there's no name on it, it must be okay." .

To be honest, it's because you and he are the worst and most blatantly bad of the lot of people who are perpetrating this, and because I've had these travesties pointed out to me repeatedly by numerous others who watch the newsgroups more often than I do. Yes it's somewhat personal; he's the individual who's been originally creating these disasters. But don't feel left out, since you're the accomplice who's assisting him in these travesties. As yet I've only ever seen one other person doing poor colourizations of my work on the net, and when I asked him to stop posting them, he very politely stopped. I take it personally because you, "Spiderman Jr." and other people out there thoughtlessly steal from me and my friends, do it poorly and with no style, and then when we ask you to stop, you whine at us, send us rude and impolite e-mail, insult us, and otherwise continue to display your complete and total lack of social skills, tact or thought. If "you" don't like my art, my feelings or opinions, I suggest you stay off my web pages and image directories, cease to own or post my images or any corrupted versions thereof, cease to e-mail me, and stay the hell away from me in general.
